Engineering Education and Accessibility Rights
This cluster focuses its efforts on three main categories:
Training Engineers with an Accessibility Mindset. Engineers should be aware that the products they design should be accessible to everyone in society (e.g., designing and building transportation systems that are accessible to everyone).
Engineering design for accessibility. Engineering designs should be focused on providing accessibility for people who have been historically restricted in accessing economic, social, and cultural opportunities.
Accessible Engineering Education. Engineering training should be made more accessible for all, including individuals from “non-traditional” groups.
